Why?
He came!
He came because...
* He loves His creation - that's you and me!
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
* He loves His Father
It was his Father's will that you be saved. In order for this to happen, he had to come to this sinful world and pay the sin debt for every man.
"The Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
* You need Him
"...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27
He died!
* He died so you could be free.
"Without shedding of blood is no remission." Hebrews 9:22
* He died for your sins.
"...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3
"...now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself." Hebrews 9:26
* He died in your place.
"...now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself." Hebrews 9:26
He lives!
The Apostle Paul said, "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel...how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4
Paul continued by saying that over 500 had seen Him with their own eyes. He even gives names of those who had seen Him.
Peter later says, "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty." 2 Peter 1:16
Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life."
Greater still He said, "...he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:25
"...if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." Romans 8:11
Because He lives, you can live too! Why not call upon Him right now!?!
Here is a prayer you can pray...
“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died for me. I know that if I die in my sins, I must pay for my sins forever in a place called Hell. I am sorry for my sins. I believe that you rose again. Please come into my heart and save me.”
Remember, the Scriptures say, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
