The population of the prefecture is 1.5 million. The city's population is 310,000.
There is only one other Independent Baptist Church in Aomori Prefecture, Faith Baptist Church in Misawa (about 40 miles east of us), which is doing a wonderful job reaching the U.S. military and their families and is reaching out to the Japanese people in their area.
North of Fukuhshima Ken (prefecture) and south of Aomori are four (4) prefectures that need churches. Only one, Miyagi, has a small church, but they have no pastor. These areas do not have an Independent Baptist church, national, or missionary.
That is THREE Independent Baptist churches in an area of 7 million people!
